The MLB Team Random Picker draws from all 30 current Major League Baseball franchises — every team in both the American League and National League — and hands you one or more at random. Filter by league or by one of the six divisions first if you want a smaller, more specific pool, or leave everything on All and let any of the 30 clubs come up. Every result shows the team's city, its name, its league, and its division, so the pick is fully placed in context. FAQ
Does this include all 30 current MLB teams?
Yes. All 30 franchises across the American League and National League, split into six divisions of five teams each, are in the pool by default. Filters just narrow which of those 30 can be drawn.
Can the same team come up twice in one batch?
No. Once a team is drawn in a batch, it is removed from the pool for the rest of that batch, so multi-team draws never repeat. Run the generator again for an entirely fresh set.
What if I ask for more teams than a division has?
Every MLB division has exactly five teams, so a request for more than five from one division is automatically capped at five rather than erroring or repeating a team.
Are any team logos or colors shown?
No. Output is plain text — team name, city, league, and division only. No logos, no color branding, no imagery.
Can I filter by both league and division at once?
A division already belongs to one league, so setting a division takes priority over the league filter. Leave division on All if you only want to filter by league.
