Does this include all 30 NBA teams?
Yes. All 30 current NBA franchises are in the pool, split across two conferences and six divisions exactly as the league is structured. Filtering by conference or division only narrows which of those 30 teams are eligible for that particular draw.
Can I pick more than one team at once?
Yes, set the count anywhere from 1 to 10. With a small count the picker avoids repeating a team already picked in that batch; if you ask for more teams than the filtered pool contains, some repeats become unavoidable.
What happens if I pick a conference and division that don't match?
The picker applies both filters together, so if you choose a conference and a division that belongs to the other conference, no teams will match. In that case it falls back to the full 30-team pool rather than returning an empty result.
Is the result actually random each time?
Yes. Every click runs a fresh shuffle using Math.random(), so results are not stored, cached, or influenced by previous picks. Two people using the same filters at the same moment can easily get different teams.
Why does the output show the city separately from the team name?
Some franchises use a state or region name rather than a single city — the Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz are two examples — so listing the city, division, and conference alongside the team name gives you the full factual context in one line without guessing.
